Create an overall look inspired by the Golden Globes 2018 using a VD base black dress and incorporating mesh items given to create ornaments for dress.
Time's Up Gown
Hello members of the Jury, my name is Anaelah and I am presenting today the Black Luxury challenge gown I created and which I named "Time's Up Gown". It is named after the action plan that takes aim against sexual harassment in the cinematographic industry by Hollywood's most powerful women.
My inspiration for this gown was Caitriona Balfe who wore a Chanel Couture black gown, with a bottom ruffle and black flowers.
As a base I chose Virtual Diva's Hope Gown. I then created a chest and hip ornament with the roses included in the package. The black roses, which are very rare represent the grief and sorrow many women have had to suffer over the years because of sexual harassment, not only in Hollywood, but all over the world in different jobs and cultures.
The smaller ornaments among the roses represent the feathers of the Phoenix, a symbol of rebirth from the ashes of the past and of victory.
To complete the look I added two layers of skirts, one mesh and one flexi and the MVW 2014 Eva Luxery Jewelry.
