Miss Virtual Diva 2018 Challenge: Kiss the Bride (Audition)

Styling: Kiss the  Bride (Mix & Match)

Create your own wedding dress look using as a base one of VD gowns or dresses.

 

My outfit for this challenge was inspired by the Middle Ages, a broad and diverse period dating from Byzantine to the Renaissance. The concept of fashion began to take shape with unique elements incorporated into each styling, such as gold and jewels, embroidered details and heavy collars.

I wanted to create a gown incorporating some of the characteristics of that era, with a tight bodice, a fuller skirt and a noticeable jewel collar that would blend in with the style, yet make the outfit fit for a royal wedding today.

To create this astonishing look I used 3 Virtual Diva dresses . I used VD Top applier of the Fantasy Garden Angel Dress, then layered VD Bella skirt and VD Guardian Gown skirt to create a layered look of lace over satin.   To tie the dress together I used the garter belt form ninette creations Edelweis Lingerie, giving it a finished look. 

And a bridal dress is not complete without a veil!  To create the veil I used LODE head accessory, Hibiscus Babybreath Wreath which is a RARE gacha item and a short veil from Celestinas Weddings.  I also added LODE hand accessory, not the traditional bridal bouquet.

As in the Medieval ages, I incorporated into the styling a rich pearl collar with a gold medallion, lace and flowers taken from different outfits, to complete a soft, dreamy and unique bridal look.
